HoyBag was honored to be appointed as the sole handbag supplier.
For Singapore’s 60th National Day celebration (SG60), HoyBag was honored to be appointed as the sole handbag supplier for one of the largest commemorative distribution projects associated with the national milestone. The project involved the production of more than half a million funpacks, designed to be distributed nationwide as part of the SG60 celebrations — a scale, timeline, and logistical structure that required exceptional coordination, speed, and manufacturing discipline.
Through the artworks, 41 artists aged 10 to 73 aim to express their hopes for Singapore, and what the Republic’s journey and future mean to them.

Madam Tay Bee Lian, 73, illustrated the Chinese phrase for “How are you?” as part of the Openness artwork.
What made this project particularly significant was not only the volume, but the responsibility. As the exclusive supplier, HoyBag was fully accountable for design development support, material sourcing, mass production, quality consistency, delivery coordination, and schedule compliance — with no margin for delay or supply gaps. Unlike typical multi-vendor sourcing models, the entire production depended on a single factory executing flawlessly.

The most critical challenge was the extremely compressed lead time. From final design confirmation to completed delivery, the entire manufacturing cycle had to be executed within two months. This timeframe included technical development, sampling, material procurement, bulk production, multi-layer quality control, and shipment coordination. In large-scale handbag manufacturing, such a timeline is highly demanding, especially when combined with strict quality expectations for a nationally symbolic product.
How HOY Ensures On-Time Delivery?
The Complexity Of Delivery Structure.
Beyond manufacturing, the delivery structure added another layer of complexity. Unlike standard international trade terms such as FOB or CIF, the SG60 funpack project required a hybrid delivery mode. Part of the shipment logistics involved sponsored transportation arranged during the production window, while other components followed conventional export handling. As a result, the delivery model operated somewhere between CIF and FOB, requiring close coordination between the client, sponsors, logistics partners, and HoyBag’s shipping team.
This non-standard delivery arrangement meant that production scheduling had to remain flexible, with phased packing, staged releases, and dynamic documentation preparation. Carton-level tracking, post-boxing random inspections, and shipment readiness checks were critical to ensure that every batch aligned with the evolving logistics plan while maintaining consistent quality standards.
Throughout production, HoyBag applied its full multi-layer quality control system , including in-process random inspections, line-end inspections, final assembly checks, packaging inspections, and random inspections after boxing. Given the scale and public significance of the SG60 celebration, consistency across all funpacks was non-negotiable. Every unit was produced against the approved reference standard to ensure uniform appearance, functionality, and presentation.
