Furla H1 revenues rise 28 percent
In the first six months of this fiscal, the Italian handbag label Furla reported revenues of 194 million euros (216 million dollars), representing a rise of 28 percent at current exchange and 27 percent at constant exchange rates.
In Japan and the USA Furla’s sales grew by 30 percent. In Europe, sales excluding Italy increased 26 percent with sales in Italy witnessing a rise of 34 percent. APAC sales grew by 22 percent. Furla said that the like-for-like sales also increased and the travel retail channel posted a growth of 38 percent.
The company opened doors to 10 new stores during the period under review, in Nice, the Citic Mall in Shanghai, the Mira Mall in Hong Kong, and Gum in Moscow. Before the end of this year, Furla plans to relocate its store in rue Saint-Honoré, Paris and in Brompton Road, London. As of June 30, the total number of active mono-brand stores was 425. The label is also distributed via 1,200 multi-brand stores in 100 countries.
Furla Group’s General Manager Alberto Camerlengo is looking for a Stock Exchange listing between 2017 and 2018, supported by Tamburi Investment Partners.
